Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use the Colton Bell music site (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account details. When you create an account we store your name (optional), email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Mailing list preference. If you opt in, we record that you’d like to receive news, new song drops and concert announcements, along with the date you opted in.
- Purchase information. When you unlock downloads, payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation and a record of the amount, but we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as page requests) used to keep the Site running and secure.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
- To give paid members access to downloads.
- To send you news, new releases and concert updates — only if you opted in.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies that are required for the Site to work — primarily to keep you signed in and to secure forms. These are necessary for core functionality and cannot be turned off within the Site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with the trusted services that make the Site work — for example, Stripe for payment processing and our hosting provider for running the Site. These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
Your choices & rights
- Unsubscribe. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you from the mailing list at any time.
- Access & deletion. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and personal information.
To make any of these requests, contact us at the email below.
Data security & retention
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including hashing passwords and using encrypted connections. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Site, and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
